Is the National a Private Event?
Yes, UPA Members and guests will be allowed to enter into the event venue. However, only UPA members are permitted to enter into the tournament arena (tables are reserved for members only). Non-members may purchase a membership before and throughout the National event.
*Any minor, 17 and under, is not required to a have membership
How can my team play at Nationals?
Your team can gain entry into UPA Nationals through a Vegas Qualifier (VQ) tournament. Please see our FAQ’s for more information.
What is the format at Nationals?
UPA Nationals will have the same format as VQs which are essentially the exact same as normal league night play, with the exception of the following:
- First team to reach 26 points wins match
- A player cannot play twice in one match (no Match Substitutions)
- Any forfeited match automatically awards 10 points to opposing team (Team Speed penalty applies)
- A player can only play on one (1) team, per discipline, at Nationals
Can I play on more than one team at the Nationals?.
A player can play on both an 8-ball and 9-ball team, however may only play on one (1) team within the same discipline.
What equipment will be used at the Nationals?
7 ft. Diamond Tables, Aramith Ball Sets.
Are there Green Fees at the National event?
No. All table time at Nationals is free to members. Only UPA members are permitted to play on tables throughout the event.
What Speed will I play with at the Nationals?
Players will play with their current Official Speed (OS) at the time of the Nationals.
IMPORTANT: Player Speeds are subject to change anytime throughout the National event.
What is the Dress Code for Nationals?
Teams are required to wear matching team shirts during competition at the National event, or will not be eligible to compete in team match play.
There will be NO: Hats/Sports Caps/Beanies (UPA Hats allowed), Headbands/Bandannas/Do-rags, Sunglasses, Shorts/Sweats, Tank tops/Crop Tops, Shower Shoes/Crocs, Sleeveless Shirts (Men), Sandals (Men)
Will there be Mini Tournaments?
Yes! Both fun/competitive Mini Tournaments will take place throughout the week. Sign-ups will take place at the tournament desk.
Code of Conduct?
All UPA members are considered guests and are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with UPA Code of Conduct. The event is Family Friendly and any member who does not conduct themselves accordingly will not be permitted to remain at the event as well as forfeit their ability to attend future National events.
Is there an age restriction for the event?
No, our Nationals event is Family Friendly and members are to conduct themselves accordingly.
